Overview
This policy explains how Qabassat Computers ("we", "us") handles personal data when you use our website, place an order, or contact us. We collect the minimum necessary to operate the business — and nothing more.
Data we collect
When you place an order: name, email, phone, shipping address, items ordered, payment status. We do not collect or store credit card numbers — those are handled exclusively by our payment processor (Wish Money).
When you contact us: email, name, and the content of your message.
When you browse: anonymous analytics (page views, referrers) via our self-hosted analytics. No third-party tracking pixels. No cookies that identify you.
How we use your data
- To process orders and provide tracking links
- To answer your questions and provide support
- To honor warranty and repair claims
- To improve our service (aggregate analytics only)
We never sell your data. We don't share it with third parties except where strictly required to fulfill your order — for example, the courier needs your address to deliver to you.
How long we keep your data
- Order records: retained for 7 years (Lebanese tax/accounting requirement).
- Magic-link tracking tokens: 90 days from creation, then automatically expired.
- Email log: 180 days, then purged.
- Support emails: retained for 2 years after last contact.
Security
Data in transit is encrypted with TLS 1.3. Data at rest is stored on servers we manage directly. Tracking link tokens are stored as SHA-256 hashes — even DB compromise can't reconstruct a working link.
Card data never touches our servers — our payment processor handles it directly, and we never see or store card numbers.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Show you what data we hold about you
- Correct anything that's wrong
- Delete your data (except records we're legally required to retain — e.g. invoices for tax purposes)
